Rod of Fishing is a Gathering Tool in Hades 2. Rod of Fishing  is used to fish in small water ponds.. Gathering Tools have to be unlocked first, and only one can be equipped at the same time. They are used to gathering resources that then can be spent in different Merchants or upgrades for Melinoe.

How to Get Rod of Fishing in Hades 2

• In order to obtain Rod of Fishing, players have to complete an Incantation at the big cauldron near Hecate, in Crossroads, called Night's Craftwork. This incantation costs x1 Moly, and is unlocked early in the game.
• After this, Melinoe can interact with the silver pool, the one that possesses the Nocturnal Arms, and select the second label located on the upper-left side of the screen. There plaayers will see all 4 Gathering Tools
• In order to purchase Rod of Fishing, players have to spend x1 Bronze, x2 Fate Fabric.

• Rod of Fishing is Capture river denizens, which can be traded for Bones
• Melinoe can only equip 1 Gathering Tool per run, meaning that if she equips Rod of Fishing she WILL NOT be able to equip any other one for that run.
• Gathering Tools CAN NOT be changed mid-run, meaning that players will stick with their election until dying or finishing a run.
• Gathering Tools, unlike Boons, are PERMANENT. Meaning that dying or restarting a run DOES NOT make them disappear.
